Observation Nights Continue with TABIP

Academic and Scientific Cooperation Project of Turkey (TABIP), which is carried out by Yunus Emre Institute under the auspices of the Presidency of Republic of Turkey, will hold “Observation Nights” event, which is held monthly with public access by the İstanbul University Observatory Application and Research Center, on 29 November 2019 with the partnership of Atatürk University and İstanbul University.

There will be informative presentations about astronomy and observation with telescopes within the scope of Observation Nights which is an event aiming to raise awareness in the society on subjects such as Astronomy and Space, to gather parents and children in an educative environment and to allocate the centers on astronomy and space sciences fields in our country positively and in a planned way and it is an event for astronomy and space enthusiasts.

Furthermore, there will be a Planetarium presentation for about half an hour after the historical dome and Gleissberg Collection visits.

Swiss scientist Prof. Dr. Laurent Jolissaint will join the event and Atatürk University Astronomy and Astrophysics Department Academic Member and Coordinator of DAG Project Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cahit Yeşilyaprak will talk about the East Anatolia Observatory Project, which is one of the most important values of Turkey in terms of academic scientific potential and space investments.

Humanity’s curiosity for the skies has grown stronger ever since it started to exist. Seeing and observing the planets, stars and beyond them has always been fascinating because the universe has existed with all of its glory before the dawn of humanity and it will survive after humanity is gone.

Take a look at the stars and planets, travel to the depths of the space and experience the privilege of observing all of these unique celestial bodies!
